FEHONG Chromium Carbide Overlay Plates (also mentioned as CCO plate, bimetallic wear plate, bimetallic sheet, bimetal plate,welded overlay plate,), are wear plates consisting of a mild steel (Q 235, SS400 or A36 ) that hardfaced with a high chrome and high carbon alloy. FEHONG Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate is extremely hard and resistant to high abrasion and various degrees impact. The hardfaced alloy has a metallurgical fusion-bonded to the base plate that will not separate or corrode and is resistant to high heat.

FEHONG chromium carbide overlay plate are available in two grade to suite a range of operation conditions:
                    PLATE-700B: Suited for applications involving high abrasion with moderate impact.
                    PLATE-750A: Suited for applications involving severe abrasion and moderate impact.

Chemical composition: FEHONG chromiu carbide overlay plate ( CCO plate ) are manufactured by welding one or multiple abrasion resistant layers on Mild steel (Q235, Q345, A36.,etc) or stainless steel base plate.
The overlay alloy has a high amount of chromium carbide hard particles.
Microstructure: The carbide (M7C3) volum fraction on the microstructure is above 50%.
Rockwell Hardness: Chromium carbide hard particles are distributed evenly throughout the layer, creating a strong microstructure.The hardness is between HRC 55-64 and depend on the overlay’s thickness: welded thickness over 12 mm. Hardness over 62 HRC.
Wear resistance: Our test shows that the Abrasion resistant performance of chromiu carbide overlay plate ( CCO plate ) is 20 times higher than Mild steel and 8 times than heat treated steel.
Flatness tolerance: Flatness tolerance is ±3 mm/m.
Thickness tolerance: Uniform overlay thickness, with tolerance within 0-0.3mm

Welding and cutting processes do not affect the wear resistant properties of the FEHONG CHROMIUM CARBIDE OVERLAY PLATE. Matching weld materials are also available for the protection of internal joints and seams. CHROMIUM CARBIDE OVERLAY PLATE can be cut and formed easily. It is used for armouring or double facing of components.
